I use tarot to help me navigate life and understand myself better. As well as tarot, I enjoy using aromatherapy & herbalism to improve my health & well being. My spiritual seeking lay with Gaia, the environment & what my senses engage around me.

When Death Means Death

The Cosmic Tarot Death Card
The Cosmic Tarot Death Card
Don’t we talk in spiritual terms in this community? We talk of death as if it is a beautiful experience. Some also play down the Tower while it’s been nothing short of devastating in my life.

We tend to do this with the Death card too – “Death doesn’t mean death, it means transition, or the end of something.” And so it goes on. But sometimes Death does mean death and more importantly, it is a part of life we cannot escape from. Like the Tower, when it comes crashing down around your ears. If you’re not already on your Chariot ready to drive through the devastation like a phoenix rising from the ashes, you will find yourself in the rubble, scratching your head and wondering what on earth just happened and where do I go from here?

Virgo Through the Eyes of Tarot

the-hermit-and-related-tarot-cards-nigel-jackson-tarot

When I was preparing my tarotscope for Virgo, hosted by Siobhan’s Mirror, it naturally made me think more deeply about the cards associated with my own birth sign. In seeking to understand myself further I collated the cards related to Virgo through astrology and numerology and produced these cards:

Hebrew for Tarot Readers: Assigning the Seven Planets

A tutorial series by guest poster, Mick Frankel

Part Four: Assigning the Seven Planets

At the end of lesson two, the Double Letters, I said:

“But, the way that the planets are assigned to the Tarot Trumps is a source of such confusion that I intend to leave a detailed description of the Double Letters for the moment.”

Basically, in the Golden Dawn system, there are 7 planets and they correspond to 7 Trumps: Continue reading Hebrew for Tarot Readers: Assigning the Seven Planets

Card Counting

This tutorial will focus on Card Counting as refined by the Golden Dawn, their system is interwoven with the Qabbalah and the Tree of Life, and you will see influences from these systems in Card Counting, though you don’t need knowledge in either to count cards.

Deck Review: The Crystal Wisdom Healing Oracle

Crystal Wisdom Healing Oracle

Crystals form an integral part of most people’s spiritual journey and experience. I wouldn’t mind betting you have a crystal near you right now, a clear or rose quartz, an amethyst, carnelian, citrine, turquoise…

There is something calming, pleasing and reassuring about the sight and feel of any crystal. Browse your local new age shop and you will be enchanted by the glistening, the shapes and the colours. What you may not understand is the energetic qualities they will be flooding you with at the same time. Empaths can either feel enlivened or overwhelmed in such a shop, such are the energies moving freely around. On a recent visit to the geology department of a museum, I had to stabilise myself several times because of the strong pull on my energetic field by the rocks and crystals on display.

This has been known for millenia with crystals being used for healing in ancient times right up to the present. They were used not just for their energetic properties but for physical healing too. Combine with oils and other natural ingredients and you have a powerful cocktail of healing at your fingertips. The problem we may find is that some of the crystals required for very specific healings are hard to find or cannot be ethically sourced.
