Do you have a number of tarot decks that you love but some of the cards turn you off? Perhaps you have some decks that are ok but there are a small number of cards that to you are just, wow!?

Me too.

So I played around with the idea of putting my favourite cards together and creating my perfect tarot deck.

Here’s what became obvious:

  • Keep to the same publisher as the cards will all be the same size
  • Try and select your cards that have similar depth of colours for visual compatability

Using the Celtic Cross Spread to Explore a Past Event

We mostly use tarot to find out about the future, or explore a current event in our lives or that of our clients. Tarot is also an excellent tool for exploring past events too. All we need do is tweak the positions of our favourite tarot spread and we have our very own questionnaire built to explore the past! I’m going to use the Celtic Cross Tarot Spread in this post as it lends itself well to customisation.

Working With the Tarot Aces

The tarot Aces. They are most often welcomed in a draw, as they inspire newness in many aspects: growth, challenges, ideas, love, opportunities, perspectives… New everything!

They are usually seen as positive, if you are ready for change or to see things with a new vision.

I always get inspired when an Ace comes my way. I get all dreamy eyed, optimistic, hungry for life… Kind of listening to either Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger – Ace of Wands, Debussy’s Clair de lune – Ace of Cups, some Radiohead – Ace of Swords or maybe Barry White’s Cant Get Enough Of Your Love – Ace of Pentacles…Yes, I went there! The Blank Tarot


Blank Tarot Cards
I’ve been on a bit of tarot deck spree lately. It started at the Readers Studio and hasn’t stopped yet. What fun! Among the new tarot decks and oracles I’ve bought, is a blank set of cards, which I’m calling the Blank Tarot, thanks to my Facebook Friend, Deb Frueh. She kind of challenged me to read with my Blank Tarot this morning, and so I did!
