The Way of Nowhere

What is the Way of Nowhere?
Physically, it’s a book. Philosophically, it’s a new way to view life and how we live it. Spiritually, it’s a way to embrace many eclectic cultures to produce a modern system of creativity, self-reliance and self-knoweldge. But best of all, it’s 8 Questions to Release Our Creative Potential – which as we all know is perfect translated into a tarot spread.
Using time-honoured Native American, Pagan and Buddhist beliefs, the full system helps you explore yourself in a gentle and productive way. In our tarot spread, we’re going to explore the eight questions. It’s up to you how much further you want to explore yourself in this way (though I highly recommend it).

Personality Tarot Spread

Think you know yourself? Think there’s nothing new left to discover? You’d be wrong. And I mean that in the best possible way.

We change and grow throughout life, it doesn’t stop at adolescence. Some of my most significant and dramatic changes occurred for me after I turned 40.

I’m definitely not the woman I used to be. I think differently than when I was 30. I look at the world in a different way, I have different opinions.

Tarot Journaling

Guest post by Bonnie Cehovet
It is the beginning of a new calendar year – an excellent time to talk about starting a journal. Journals can be dedicated to many purposes – what I am talking about here is creating a living picture, in words, of the coming year as you live it. This journal will be about you, as seen through the lens of the Tarot. Why do you want to do this? Is journaling a magic pill? Does your life go better if you journal? Why Journal?
The Devil on my shoulder wants me to say “Why the heck not!” As a writer, writing is fun. It is how I express myself, and is a huge part of my life. Even for a non-writer, there are definite benefits to journaling, one of which is that it moves you outside of yourself, and allows you to grow as a person. This is also where the Tarot comes in – as your words form the picture story of your life, the Tarot acts as a lens through which you can interpret people and events.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Pyramid

Guest post by Toni Gilbert

Using Tarot to map your developmental journey

Like all of Nature, humans develop according to universal patterns or archetypal forces. We know this as the “urge” toward growth. As complex material and spiritual beings, that urge takes place, not only at the material level as we grow into adulthood, but also at the mental and spiritual levels. To say it another way, the growth of the mind, body, and spirit is a natural unfolding of our potential.

Psychosynthesis Tarot Spread

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to have a psychological Tarot reading by my good friend Zorian Cross, author of the excellent Tarot blog, the Tarot Quest. I was totally blown away by this reading, and not just the Tarot spread, which probed deep into my psyche, but by the way Zorian reads Tarot. He is amazing, his skills are exceptional and I can’t rave enough about him. Seek him out and buy a reading from him – I absolutely guarantee you will be as astounded as I was.
The reading itself was done on Skype through instant messaging and while I’ve edited out a lot of our conversation – we can talk for England about anything, I’ve kept the format of our back and to conversation to give you a flavour of how the reading developed and, despite this being a very personal reading for me (why am I always bearing my soul?), it remains chatty and lighthearted.
